Did You Know:
Here at Coastal Waterworks,
a locally owned and operated full service auto wash and detail
center, we recycle 85% of all the water used to wash your
vehicle. All the water is trapped (by our reclaim system) and
then reused. The only time we use fresh water is in the
rinsing process. We use a small amount of water to rinse your
vehicle by using high-pressure nozzles. Our computers know
when to turn on and off and keep certain equipment away from
your vehicle by the placement of your vehicle when entering
our tunnel.
Computers and testing have
shown that by using a 5/8" garden hose pushing
approximately 50 psi (Pounds per Square Inch) will consume
about 14 gallons of water per minute. By washing your vehicle
at home you will use around 140 gallons of water for a
10-minute auto wash. Now we know that we have spent more than
10 minutes to wash our vehicles at home, a lot of that is
wasted water.
Most people today run into
the kitchen and grab the dish soap under the sink and squirt
it into a bucket. This soap is not good for your vehicle
finish. Over a period of time it will wear away your vehicle's
finish. We use special soaps and cleaning methods to preserve
your vehicles finish.
By using special computers
and technology today, Coastal Waterworks can save on water,
which is being wasted in washing your vehicle. We strive to
conserve water, so the next time your vehicle needs to be
washed, "Let Us Add A Shine to Your Day".
